Do you need dietary modifications to one of the recipes in our April 2019 Amazing Appetizers kit? Check out the suggestions below:

Tiny Toasts

  1. Dairy Free
    • Use a cream cheese substitute like Daiya brand.
  1. Gluten Free
    • Instead of a baguette, use a gluten-free bread substitute
  1. Vegan
    • Instead of salmon, use carrot or cucumber peelings
    • Instead of mozzarella, use tofu or vegan cheese, like Daiya brand
    • Instead of brie cheese, use cashew cheese.

4. Vegetarian

    • Instead of salmon, use the inside of a peeled carrot

 

Cauliflower Crunchies

  1. Dairy Free
    • Instead of cow’s milk, use soy, almond, rice, oat, or coconut milk
  1. Gluten Free
    • Instead of panko bread crumbs, use a gluten-free panko substitute like Ian’s brand
  1. Vegan
    • Instead of Parmesan cheese use a vegan option like Parma! Vegan Parmesan Cheese
    • Instead of eggs, use an egg substitute like JUSTEgg*
    • Instead of cow’s milk, use soy, almond, rice, oat, or coconut milk

*You may need to reduce or omit the salt in your recipe when using egg substitute. Check sodium

  1. Dairy Free
    • Instead of mozzarella, use a dairy-free substitute like Daiya brand
  1. Gluten Free
    • Instead of wheat flour, use a 1-to-1 gluten-free substitute like Bob’s Redmill brand
  1. Vegan
    • Instead of mozzarella, use a dairy-free substitute like Daiya brand
