TAMALE PIE
- Dairy-Free:
- Replace butter with a dairy-free brand such as Earth’s Best.
- Use plant-based cheese.
- Egg-Free:
- Use an egg replacer such as Bob’s Red Mill Egg Replacer.
- Gluten-Free:
- Replace flour with gluten-free flour.
- Use gluten-free cornmeal.
- Naturally Nut-Free.
- Vegan & Vegetarian:
- Substitute the butter for vegan butter.
- Use plant-based cheese.
- Use vegetable stock or water instead of chicken broth.
- Substitute meat with plant-based meat or veggies.
EASY LATKES
- Naturally Dairy-Free.
- Egg-Free:
- Use an egg replacer such as Just Eggs.
- Gluten-Free:
- Replace matzo meal with rice flour or other gluten-free flour.
- Naturally Nut-Free.
- Vegan & Vegetarian:
- Substitute the eggs with an egg replacer such as Just Eggs.
HOMEMADE EGGNOG
- Dairy-Free:
- Substitute the whole milk with plant-based milk such as almond milk.
- Substitute the heavy cream with 1 13.5-ounce can full-fat coconut milk.
- Egg-Free:
- Mix 3 tablespoons cornstarch with 1/4 cup whole milk until smooth. Combine with remaining milk and ingredients. Bring to a low simmer, and remove from heat when thickened.
- Naturally Gluten-Free
- Nut-Free:
- Opt out of nutmeg.
- Vegan & Vegetarian:
- Substitute the whole milk with plant-based milk such as almond milk.
- Substitute the heavy cream with 1 13.5-ounce can full-fat coconut milk.
