Baker’s Secret: Cookie Tips

It’s time to take your cookies to the next level! Remind your little bakers to follow these oven-savvy tips for best results:

  1. Check cookies a few minutes before the timer is up, and watch closely from there. Oven temperatures and personal tastes vary, and cookies bake fast!
  2. Remove cookies just when they start to turn a touch golden on top, and leave them on the baking sheet for a few minutes. Believe it or not, your cookies will continue to bake even once they come out of the oven!
  3. After a few minutes, use a spatula to gently transfer the cookies to a wire rack (if you have one) as they continue to cool.
  4. Encourage kids to write notes in their cookbook pages about timing, ingredients and any other preferences they discover along the way. Happy baking!
