  • 1 cup butter (softened)
  • ¾ cup light brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup shortening
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ¾ cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup cocoa
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 ¾ cups flour
  • 1 cup nuts
  • 1-2 cups chocolate chips

Chocolate frosting 

  • ¼ cup butter (softened)
  • 2 ounces cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa

  • 1 ¼ cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk, as needed

  1. Combine the egg, sugar, and shortening to make a uniform mixture. Stir in vanilla and buttermilk, and then add in the dry ingredients.

2. Mix all the ingredients in one bowl. You can also add other ingredients such as raisins, vanilla extract, dried nuts, or anything else you fancy.

3. Make small balls with the dough.

11. Cookie Monster Oreos

All kids love Oreos, so you can’t go wrong with this recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • blue food coloring
  • 12 Oreos
  • sanding sugar (optional)
  • 24 candy eyes
  • mini chocolate chips, for garnish

  1. Combine coconut oil, white chocolate chips, food coloring in one bowl and microwave the mixture until the chocolate melts.

  • 24 sugar wafer cookies
  • 1 ½ cups white chocolate chips
  • Mini dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoons coconut oil
  • Pink food coloring

Step-by-step 

1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Using a serrated knife, make two diagonal cuts on one side of each wafer cookie to create a sharp edge.

3. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate in 30-second intervals, until melted, and then separate it into two bowls.
