- 1 cup brown sugar, divided
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons melted butter

Step-by-step
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Peel and slice apples.
- Divide the sliced apples among 4 large pieces of foil. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, salt, ginger, and cinnamon. Coat the apples evenly with the sugar mix, then add the melted butter and nuts.
- Seal the foil packets tightly and place on a sheet pan. Bake for 20 minutes or until apples are tender when pierced with a fork.
