Belgian Waffles

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups buttermilk or milk
  • ¼ cup melted butter, plus more for greasing
  • 2 eggs

Grown-up steps
  1. Add all dry ingredients to a bowl and mix. In a separate bowl, combine and mix milk, butter, and eggs.
  2. Pour the wet mixture into the dry and stir until combined. Set aside. Turn the waffle on to heat and grease when ready.
  3. Pour about ½ cup batter into the waffle iron and cook until golden, depending on your waffle iron. Repeat and serve warm with maple syrup and fruit!
