Pumpkin Spice Latte

  • 4 cups milk
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ⅛ teaspoon pumpkin spice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup pumpkin purée
  • For the whipped cream:
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon confectioner’s sugar

Grown-up steps: Grown-ups may want to offer guidance when kids heat up the milk, making sure to keep the saucepan centered and the stove at the right temperature. Kids may also need support when pouring the pumpkin latte mixture from the pot into the mugs. Remember, it’s hot!
  1. Heat milk in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add brown sugar, cinnamon, pumpkin spice, and vanilla, allowing the ingredients to warm up, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add pumpkin purée and mix until fully incorporated, 1-2 minutes.
  4. Turn off heat.
  5. In a large bowl, whip the cream until stiff peaks begin to form.
  6. Beat in the confectioner's sugar and vanilla, but don’t over beat.
  7. Carefully pour Pumpkin Latte into mugs and top with whipped cream and cinnamon. Yum!
